About the role:

As PR & Communications Assistant in the Marketing and Communications team at The O2, you’ll ensure the smooth running of press office function, managing the creation and distribution of releases and answering any queries or messages.

You’ll also:

  • Develop and maintain press materials, track coverage and evaluate;
  • Carry out departmental administration including filming/photography authorisation and site permits;
  • Manage online press office site and drive sign ups;
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with media contacts, promoter PRs and relevant industry contacts;
  • Develop company-wide internal communications materials and ensure our intranet site is kept updated;
  • Maintain press databases and ensure contacts are kept up to date; and
  • Promote the venue as a destination and focus on ICON Outlet.

About you: We are looking for someone who wants to kick-start their career in communications! You’ll have some PR knowledge and previous experience from an agency or in-house environment or from a relevant degree programme.

With excellent proof reading skills and experience of drafting press releases, you’ll be a good communicator both verbally and written with team members and external contacts such as promoters.

You’ll be a networker and an influencer, someone who has the ability to build good relationships and collaborate with a wide range of people, both internally and externally.

We’re looking for a positive team player who can manage their time and workload effectively and be able to use their initiative when required.

Highly IT literate, you’ll be skilled in social media, with a knowledge of web design tools.
