Full Description

The Role: You will be working full time on board our boats serving our customers hot and cold beverages and food; maintaining a high level of customer service at all times and being cheerful, approachable and helpful.

We will provide extensive training so you will gain knowledge of the products we sell on board; be able to serve our customers efficiently and upsell where you can, and maintain and clean the equipment and surrounding areas; minimising waste and ensuring stock is maintained managed efficiently.

About You: With a genuine desire and ability to work with the public in a front line, customer and sales focused environment; you will be able to build rapport with our customers.

We are looking for people with previous experience in a customer facing role, ideally from a hospitality or tourism background, where you are comfortable approaching our customers and making them aware of our menu and products. 

You must be able to thrive in a very busy environment and maintain patience and empathy even when working under pressure. We are looking for people with good communication skills, a great team work ethic and a friendly, helpful customer focused approach.

Where: Our boats all leave from North Greenwich Pier, based close to The O2 and North Greenwich Tube station.

When: We are holding our next assessment centre on 25 September 2019. This is the only date we will be holding the assessment so if you cannot attend, please do not apply.

You will need to be able to start work with on Monday 30 October 2019.

Important information:

This is a shift based role and you will be required to work weekdays and weekends. Shifts can start very early in the morning or finish late at night, therefore you will need to be able to get to and from North Greenwich Pier sometimes before the tube starts or after it finishes.

As this role is based on a boat, you need to be able to work on water, if you suffer from travel sickness this role might not be for you!
