AEG Presents; the Touring, Festival and mid-sized venue division of AEG Europe is seeking a Head of Health and Safety to manage the health and safety across a growing portfolio of venues, and support with indoor & outdoor events, festivals, and touring. This is a critical role with the responsibility to oversee the execution of robust business risk processes for an estimated annual audience of more than 6 million consumers across 2 thousand events.

 

The Head of Health and Safety will develop and maintain the Group’s risk management processes, managing this within the Venues Division and supporting across other elements within the AEG Presents businesses.

 

You will be responsible for ensuring the Groups business units are fully supported in managing health, safety, and security; and you’ll work with the Group’s business leaders, insurers, partners, stakeholders, and statutory authorities to reduce the businesses exposure to risk.

 

You’ll develop and deliver the strategic plan to ensure health and safety is firmly embedded within the culture of the AEG Presents business and its employees.

 

You’ll also provide competent advice to business units on occupational health, event safety, fire safety, and security; maintain knowledge of current legislation and best practice in all areas of health, safety, and security; and carry out regular audits of AEG Presents business units, for compliance with health, safety, and security obligations.

 

We’re looking for someone with a NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent and who has or is willing to work towards a NVQ4 in Safety Spectator Management qualification.

 

You’ll have proven experience in security management or have a good knowledge and understanding of security and counter terrorism processes.

 

With experience of working with insurers and risk consultants; you will have proven capability in the formulation and delivery of health and safety management, and strategy implementation.

 

You’ll have experience of developing and managing budgets and proven stakeholder management, understanding both business and commercial needs.

 

With excellent verbal and written communication skills you’ll have gravitas and be able to build good working relationships with a variety of people at all levels.

Where: You’ll be based at our head office in Blackfriars, a short walk from Blackfriars rail station and Southwark Tube station on the Jubilee line.
