Job Description

Are you looking for something different to do over the summer? We welcome thousands of tourists both from the UK and abroad to our 22 piers along the Thames. So we’re looking to complement our team with extra staff to help make our customers experience memorable!

The Role: You will work at any one of our 22 piers along the Thames, welcoming all members of the public; selling them the right ticket to travel and assisting them with their journey with us.

We have 30 hour per week or 42 hour per week contracts available.

You: We’re looking for people who love working and engaging with the public and making their experiences unforgettable!

We will give you full training on our varied ticket types but you will be comfortable approaching customers, starting a conversation with them and selling them the appropriate ticket.

You will be an influential communicator, friendly and approachable and always wanting to deliver the best customer service possible.

And, you won’t mind working outdoors or being on your feet all day. This can be a very busy environment, so you need to be able to maintain empathy.

When: The assessment centres will be held on 25th February at 9.15am and 2pm at the Preview Centre in North Greenwich.

Important Information: If successful, you will be invited to an assessment centre to give you plenty of information about the role and how we work. You will participate in tasks so we can see your teamwork, problem solving and communication skills in action and an interview at the end so we can find out more about you. Our assessment centres are fun, informative and a great way for you to learn all about us whilst we find out about you!

We pick the dates for assessments in advance, so we can ensure we have the right assessors available to meet with you. Therefore if you cannot make the above date for the assessment, please do not apply, as we won’t be able to change the date or hold another assessment for you.
