Job Description

The Role: We are looking for someone to design, develop and deliver all training modules for the Academy, working closely with the training team to ensure all training is completed in a timely manner and within budget.

You will manage the statutory training programs of operational employees which include, but are not limited to, STCW, ISM, the High Speed Craft code and Boat Masters Licence (BML) training; and deliver theory training to all crew on High Speed Craft and Class V vessels, ensuring all trainees has a coach and mentor assigned.

You will also be involved in the strategic workforce planning for the operation, supported by HR, to identify a talent pipeline to enable the business to achieve growth plans and commitments to internal succession.

You:  An experienced Marine professional with Boat Masters Licence, you will have a proven track record of teaching the marine syllabus; and mentoring and coaching employees to ensure they get the best out of the development opportunities on offer.

With experience of working under MCA regulations, you will have some knowledge of the Boat Masters syllabus and also ISM and High Speed Craft Code.

Experience of setting up or running a training facility would be advantageous.

We’re looking for someone who is committed and flexible in their approach to work with the ability to build relationships with a range of people internally and externally.
