It is owned by Philip Anschutz an American entrepreneur which is where the name AEG comes from (Anschutz Entertainment Group). The AEG worldwide corporate office is based in L.A and our European headquarters are based in London.
AEG Europe comprises in the UK of The O2; The SSE Arena, Wembley; MBNA Thames Clippers; and AEG Presents, which includes the Eventim Apollo and indigo at The O2; along with Mercedes-Benz Arena, Berlin; Barclaycard Arena, Hamburg and Stockholm Globe Arenas in Europe.
The AEG team works together to create one-of-a-kind live entertainment experiences. The AEG Europe Head office is the home of the European divisions for Global Partnerships, Legal, Real Estate, Sports, HR, IT, Strategy and Facilities.

AEG Europe HR
HR are responsible for employee relations, employee engagement, recruitment and training matters. They provide support to business leaders and senior managers to help shape and plan their future business needs providing an advisory service so they can manage individuals and their teams more effectively. They also manage a HR service desk to deal with enquiries from employees on a range of issues and also manage and communicate company benefits packages. They recruit for all the different businesses under the AEG Europe umbrella and hold assessment centres for frontline staff roles and interviews for a variety of vacancies and use a selection of advertising and social media avenues to get the best candidate for the role.
AEG Europe Strategy
The strategy department looks for opportunities to develop AEG and its performance. They do things like co-ordinating the forecasting, planning and budgeting for all AEG Europe businesses. They track performance against budget and gather intelligence about the market and its competitors so they can communicate new insights to European and Global management teams.
AEG Europe IT
AEG have a large IT department to manage and develop the systems used by the various AEG businesses e.g. The O2, SSE Arena, Wembley, Eventim Apollo, MBNA Thames Clippers and other AEG offices within London and Europe. They plan and budget for future business system projects, provide advice and support, are involved in bug fixes, testing, code release management and quality assurance. IT are responsible for providing excellence in data quality, availability, security and accessibility. They also provide day-to-day maintenance of the existing IT and broadcast infrastructure.
AEG Europe Global Partnerships
AEG own or operate over 100 venues, they own and host sports teams and produce multiple music festivals, tours and events. These are places where a lot of people go. This means we have the perfect platform for companies to promote their brands. Partnerships are responsible for creating partnerships with companies and work with them to build their brand and grow their revenues. They do this through initiatives specifically designed around our facilities, teams, events and properties. Partnerships work with them to deliver positive brand experiences and special delights for their customers.
The legal team is responsible for all legal matters in relation to AEG Europe and its businesses. They draft, review and negotiate contracts; ticketing arrangements/agreements and sponsorship agreements and provide general legal and compliance advice across the business such as IP/trademarks, litigation and employment law.
